Strathclyde Insulating Glass is a family run business and was founded in 1975; it originally traded under the name of Strathclyde Glass and Glazing. As Double-Glazing developed the company decided to go into the production of Double Glazed sealed units and Strathclyde Insulating Glass proper was founded in 1989.

At present Strathclyde Insulating Glass has the capacity to manufacture in excess of 3,000 units every day, ranging from standard units for the home improvement market, complex shaped units, visually attractive Georgian and leaded units, through to large and curved units requiring high performance glass for prestigious projects. Roof Glazing units, curtain walling, frame less systems and structural assemblies can also be produced at this site. Strathclyde Glass is one of the few companies in Scotland offering Triple Glazed units and has made a large investment in its fully automated online operation.

As a 30-year-old company Strathclyde Insulating Glass employs dedicated and highly trained staff, who have the experience to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved first time, every time. SIG are long standing active members of the Glass and Glazing Federation ensuring they remain at the fore front of insulating glass technology.

A long-standing relationship with the British Standard Institution guarantees: products are regularly and stringently tested to the latest Industry standards and that the quality management system complies with ISO 9000 regulations.

SIG has enjoyed and will continue to enjoy success as we concentrate our efforts on the manufacture and supply of only multi-purpose insulating glass sealed units. SIG never have and have no intention of competing in the replacement window frame market.
